Allen Family | 30a Beach Photographer

On Wednesday, we had the privilege of photographing Jennie Allen’s family. As we pulled up to her house, we literally sat in the car and asked, “IS THIS REAL LIFE?!”

For those of you who may not know, Jennie Allen was given this dream of training women to seek God in His fullest. “The vision was to gather, equip, and unleash women to live out God’s calling on their lives. So Jennie, together with a tame of friends, formally established IF:Gathering. In our wildest of dreams, we couldn’t have imagined what would happen next….We gather, equip and unleash women to live out their calling by creating tools and resources for the local church and the women they serve. We put these tools in hands of women who desire to change their local context for the glory of God and the good of others.” https://ifgathering.com/who-we-are/
Our husbands, Josh & David, pastor together here on 30A at a new church plant called Redeemer 30A. Redeemer held it’s first service last October, and we were all so eager to see the Lord move. As a new church plant, people love being a part and having a voice to share ideas on how to grow together in community. One of those being a women’s event. It just so happened that three months after launching the church, the IF:Gathering was live-streaming their conference that was being held in Texas! Um, hello? Yes! So a good friend of ours hosted 30+ women for 2 days. We came in desperate for growth and community, and we left encouraged and challenged.
So knowing that, we were SO honored to meet her and her family! The sun was still a little high when we arrived, so they welcomed us into their home and we got to chat about what life looks like right now. As former church-planters, they shared wisdom with us that we appreciate so much! Honestly, this was just a God-ordained meeting, and we are so thankful! Right before we left, Zac and Jennie asked to pray for our church, as well as us as pastor’s wives. That was the sweetest way to end a photo session. That was definitely a first for us! 🙂
We are so grateful to have met this sweet family! You are all SO beautiful and encouraged us in so many ways.
